Today, everything from the media to our friends to our role models tells us it’s our life. They glamourize independence and exalt achievement. Everything revolves around what we want and how we feel. And yet, even in this “freedom,” we find ourselves alone and desperate to fill this intangible void. We start building up these walls around our idea of love. Anyone who tries to draw near we push away, and we live almost shamefully, believing we don’t deserve a fulfilling life. If only we’d do a little less hiding and a little more revealing.
But that doesn’t stop God from lovingly waiting for that one moment when we cry out, “God…” Truly, that’s LOVE. It’s whatbrings us out of hiding, what crowns us as kings and queens. It’s what compels people all across the world like you and me to fight to reveal God. Our response to His love is commitment to our field. The evidence of our faith is taking risk and pushing ourselves, always expecting God to complete what He’s called us to. And at the end of the day we go back to that place of surrender and say, “I’m yours.”
